Short answer (10 points)
1. Describe what you would do to prepare to cook - after you've selected a recipe, but before you begin step number one.
2. Tell me one way you might vary each of the three recipes in this lesson - is there another ingredient you might add? An ingredient you might swap out for another?
3. What are your favorite breakfast dishes? If you could add a recipe to the lesson, what would it be?
Extra Credit
You have two extra credit options this month - each is worth the full 30 points, so you only need to choose one.
Option 1 - Cooking
Your task is to select one of the recipes from the lesson and make it yourself! In about 50-100 words, tell me a little about how it went - did you change anything from the recipe? Did anything go wrong? Include at least one picture of the work in progress and one picture of the final product!
Option 2 - Writing
If you're lacking a kitchen or cooking materials, or otherwise would prefer an alternate option, you may choose a writing prompt! I have two ideas you can write about - if you come up with something else, just ask :) Whichever you choose, please write at least 300 words!

- You're in charge of preparing a family brunch. Everything seems to be coming along nicely, when the doorbell rings. You go to greet your relatives, and when you get back to the kitchen, three alarms are going off, including the fire alarm, and you smell something burning ... How do you handle the situation?
- Your friend has been telling you about how he's always really tired in the mornings, and you find it he never eats breakfast. Write him an email suggesting some foods that he can try to help him have more energy throughout the day.
